Air - Le Voyage Dans La Lune

Finally, we get to see the first sample of the new, hand colored version of the short film, Le Voyage Dans La Lune, (the first science fiction film ever made) from 1902, accompanied by the brilliant sounds of Air. As mentioned earlier, the French musical masterminds of Air are planning to release a soundtrack made for a hand coloured version of Georges Méliès 1902 silent film Le Voyage Dans La Lune. Listen to the stunning track Seven Stars, on which the duo join forces with Victoria Legrand from Beach House. Magnificent, absolutely gorgeous, etc.

1998 släppte Air albumet Moon Safari vilket introducerade världen för en helt ny typ av electronisk musik, av många kallad Chill-out (men det låter fan rätt lökigt alltså..) Soundet var sjukt smooth, så vilket bandnamn hade kunnat passa bättre än just Air (om det inte är snålblåst dvs.)? De hade en mer softad approach än exempelvis det trip-hop-sound som Massive Attack startade i början av nittiotalet och skillde sig ordentligt från landsmännen Daft Punk´s dance-sound som släppts året innan. De är defenitivt ett av de mest inflytelserika banden inom sin genre och har inspirerat många, däribland Zero 7. Har ni inte hört Air så är det minsann på tiden nu.
